چکیده
Texture modification during sheet rolling appears differently in binary Mg-RE (rare-earth) or Mg-Ca alloy, compared to their ternary counterparts containing Zn. The differences texture development and the active deformation mechanisms under tensile loading were investigated alloys. These analyses are based on in-situ synchrotron experiments electron backscatter diffraction measurements reveal direct experimental evidence of mechanisms. Higher activations nonbasal pyramidal dislocations found Nd Ca Mg alloys, Mg-Zn alloy. shows an obvious feature, which is a broadening basal pole intensity distribution perpendicular direction strengthening < 10 1 ¯ 0 > at all examined sheets. This relates higher activation prismatic slip. addition Zn alloys further promotes dislocations. enhanced slip confirmed by EBSD misorientation analysis. • High dislocation sole Ca, Notably Zn-Nd -Ca, Discussion about quantitative contribution activities initial deformed textures

FRACTIONAL RECRYSTALLIZATION KINETICS IN DIRECTLY COLD ROLLED Al-Mg, Al-Mg-Sc AND Al-Mg-Sc-Zr ALLOY
The evaluation of texture as a function of recrystallization has been characterized for directly cold rolled Al-6Mg, Al-6Mg-0.4Sc and Al-6Mg-0.4Sc-0.2Zr alloys. Samples were annealed isothermally at 400 °C for 1 to 240 minutes to allow recrystallization. Recrystallization kinetics of the alloys is analyzed from the micro-hardness variation. Isothermally annealed samples of aluminum alloys were ...
متن کاملFatigue behaviors of HP-Mg, Mg-Ca and Mg-Zn-Ca biodegradable metals in air and simulated body fluid.
UNLABELLED The dynamic loading in human body, along with the corrosive body fluid, presents a great challenge for the practical use of biodegradable magnesium implants. In this study, a high purity magnesium (99.99wt.%) and two typical promising biodegradable magnesium alloys (binary Mg-1Ca and ternary Mg-2Zn-0.2Ca) were chosen as the experimental materials. Their dynamic mechanical performance...
متن کاملFretting properties of biodegradable Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr alloy in air and in Hank’s solution
Fretting is a significant cause for the failure of orthopedic implants. Currently, since magnesium and its alloys have been developed as promising biodegradable implant materials, the fretting behavior of the Mg alloys is of great research significance. In this study, a Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr alloy (hereafter, denoted as JDBM alloy) was selected as experimental material, and its fretting behaviors were ev...

The neotype magnesium alloy, Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr (NZK) alloy, was implanted into the rabbit femur to investigate its in vivo degradation behavior and biocompatibility. Seventy-two New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into the NZK alloy group, titanium alloy group and sham-operated group. Then NZK alloy rods were embedded in the rabbit femur in the NZK alloy group, titanium alloy rods were em...
متن کاملContact Behavior of Composite CrTiSiN Coated Dies in Compressing of Mg Alloy Sheets under High Pressure
Hard coatings have been adopted in cutting and forming applications for nearly two decades. The major purpose of using hard coatings is to reduce the friction coefficient between contact surfaces, to increase strength, toughness and anti-wear performance of working tools and molds, and then to obtain a smooth work surface and an increase in service life of tools and molds. In this report, we de...
